Let me start off by telling you a little bit about my self. I was enitiated into hockey by my dad-Billy Wong. I started playing at the age of 13, for the Ottawa Center Tortoises.
In 1994, I moved to Russell, ON. It is situated 45 min outside of Ottawa, going to montreal. In that same year, I got to taste what it was like to be a winner.
During the summer I was playing Baseball, and are Junior team won the championship. We cleaned up Rockland in the final game. In Hockey I was playing Peewee House "C" and are team was very powerful. The Gloucester Minor Hockey Association (GCMHA) even tried to move us up to the "B" Division, but to no content they had to bring us back down to "C".
This happened in the middle of the season. Wen Playoff's came we beat every team all the way to the final. We beat Cumberland with (I must say) ease. That would be my last championship.
Now my playing career is non-existant, since I have had too many head concussion (5), so I had to find a way to stop these type of injurie and decided to hang up my jersey.
So I started refereeing in 1995. At first it was for (I must say) the money, but further as the season progressed I started to really enjoy it. It also opened my eyes up on what was.
This is the reason for my Web Site, the way I see it is that everybody knows the players but ask any hockey fan "What about the Ref's" and they will problably tell you who cares or they are so blind or they will say "WHO?"
I hope that will all change now. Referee's are the most important
